Camper van pitch

We have a spacious camper van pitch (pictured above). This is tucked away in its own field, on the other side of the track to Stream Field. This pitch is for just one van and up to 4 people. There is room for an additional tent. Maximum camper van length is 7m. Sorry, we don't accept motor homes or chemical toilets.

The Glade

Tucked in along the riverbank, the Glade is a very special one acre woodland clearing next to the stream, with several pebble beaches and its own private access and compost toilet. It is surrounded by ancient oaks, superb alder coppice and hazel and has a mountain glimpse. It is very sheltered and closest to the facilities. Spend evenings looking up at the stars through the canopy and watching bats fly overhead. There are steep steps down to The Glade so you must be happy carrying your kit down. Plenty of room for more than one tent. Up to 6 people.

Facilities and prices.

Minimum stay of three or five nights, depending on time of year. All pitches have a base price starting from £43 per night which includes two people. Additional people: Adults £12/night, 5-15 year olds £5 per night, Under 5s go free. We welcome well behaved dogs (no barkers please) at £2/night.

Extra tents are charged at £8 per night and an extra Greener Camping Club Membership may be required. There is no extra charge for a pup tent, awning or gazebo.

In line with our green ethos we hope that you can travel to Dark Skies in one vehicle.  If one group/pitch travels in more than one vehicle we charge £12 per additional vehicle.

Each pitch has a dedicated fire pit  and wood is available to buy for campfires.

Some of our pitches have their own compost toilet and there are compost toilets in each camping field. Showers, washing up, flushing toilets and drinking water are down at the farm. The best mobile connection is EE.
